WAGB wins in nail biter

Westford Academy Girls' Basketball won what was a nail biter of a game on Tuesday night against Algonquin High School, beating the Tomahawks 40-39. This game was the first round of the Division 1 Central Massachusetts tournament.

Thursday night's game pitted the varsity basketball team against that of Newton South, resulting in a disappointing 40-60 loss for the last home game of the season. The night was also Senior Night, recognizing students Jessica Libby and Morgan Ross.

Westford Academy's Boys' Basketball team faced off against DCL rival Lincoln-Sudbury on February 6th in the main gym at WA by a final score of 77-51. Senior captains Dan Cornelius and Eric McCord finished with 15 and 13 points respectively.
