    Rec Ball: Week 6

By Kyle Auger, Tim Delouchrey, John Devereaux, Andy Dunn, & Ethan Walshe
    The Rec Ball Committee

    This week’s power rankings:

    1) Supersonics – With a lot of movement in the power rankings around them, the Sonics have returned to their usual winning ways and risen once again to the top. Bouncing back from a tough loss to the Jazz, the Sonics handedly defeated the Nets on Sunday.

    2) Knicks – After suffering their first loss of the season to the Blazers, they bounced back with a decisive win over the Jazz by 21 points. Their senior leadership has cemented this spot in the ranks.

    3) Heat – Seniors Jack Schladenhauffen and Nick Mariano combined for 55 points in their win Sunday against the Celtics. Their fast break offense is unstoppable. They have bounced back from a 36 point loss last week to jump up three spots in the rankings.

    4) Rockets – Following a tough three game losing streak, the Rockets have won their last three, including a win Monday night over the Blazers. Depth could be an issue moving forward.

    5) Jazz – The Jazz had a tough week. They faced an NBA schedule, playing four games in seven days, which they split 2-2. Fouls have been an issue (they racked up 31 and 29 in their last two games respectively) as they have tried to compensate for the absence of Glynn Johnson down low.

    6) Blazers – New addition senior Jack Underhill cooled off this week, as did the Blazers. They lost to the four ranked Rockets after handing the Knicks their only loss Thursday.

    7) Warriors – The league is top heavy and the Warriors are trying to stay afloat. Increased player attendance has led to an increase in wins, one against the Jazz on Thursday and the one against the Thunder on Monday.

    8) Bucks – The Bucks have great potential, but have been inconsistent. Monday night they beat the Magic by 19 points with great performances by senior Shane Wright and junior Mike Errera.
