The WA Varsity Golf team took the win over Bedford on Thursday, Sep. 7 in a home match at Nabnasset Lake Country Club. With a 55-16 sweep against their opponent, WA increases the team’s record to 3-1 overall.
In the past couple of years, Westford Academy has become a dominant team in the Dual County League, especially against great teams like Weston and Acton-Boxborough. With a strong group of players, including sophomore Maddie Smith, senior Ilan Safraz, senior Justin Davighi, and senior Alex Kwon, WA has become successful in challenging the top Massachusetts teams.
Westford will compete to stay at only one loss on the season in a match against Cambridge Rindge & Latin on Thursday, Sep. 14 at the Nabnasset Lake Country Club.
