On Halloween this year, there was quite a scare at Westford Academy: they lost power for a few hours. The DECA Halloween dance was almost canceled, but fortunately was only delayed for a half an hour. The school called parents and students at 6:00 informing them that school had lost power and the dance may be canceled but they will call back at 7:00 with what was the plan was. At 7:00 they call back with news that the dance was on and students may start attending.
Instead of the dance being in the usually spot for dances, the cafeteria, it was held in the main gym. This was because of the approximately 900 tickets sold. There was no senior Halloween dance and all four grades were invited to DECA’s. Although in previous years, seniors have gone to DECA’s dance, this year they are officially invited.
The variety of costumes was mixed, some were creative and some on the other hand were not. These were a few that were truly impressive and must have taken some time to make. However, a few costumes were very much ordinary and lacked creativity. Costumes included a group of boys as Gerber babies, another groups of boys as Greek Gods, and some girls as Uno cards.)
Overall, the feedback from students is that the gym was well liked and a good place to have the dance, although some would like have it moved back to the cafeteria for next year.

I thoroughly enjoyed the photo montage. It could have been more gripping if you had included Halloween themes in your piece, just my opinion.
