Oct 30, 2020
Due to COVID-19, this year’s college admissions process has become a stressor for many seniors. While trying to juggle schoolwork, extracurriculars, and college admissions many seniors have become overwhelmed as the college admissions process has been altered. The Ghostwriter asked some seniors about their experience with college applications while in the middle of a global pandemic.
Senior Antara Parmar: "I believe that COVID-19 has made the college process more stressful. Visiting colleges is an important part of making the decision whether it is the right fit for you. Although virtual visits are taking place, they are not the same and some colleges are not even offering them. With regard to optional SAT and ACT test scores, I believe that it makes the process easier, but places more emphasis on components of our application that are out of our control such as activities and GPAs."
