On Tuesday, January 10th, WA Boys’ Basketball squared off against Boston Latin at 5:30 at home. After a late start, the Ghosts came out with playing hard and took down Boston Latin 66-48.

The Ghosts jumped out to a quick 4-0 lead over their opponent off of two pointers from junior Robbie Hudson and senior Eric Jacobsen. Although it took a little over a minute, Boston-Latin soon got some points on the board. However, before they could tie the game, senior Jon Glidden scored two consecutive baskets for WA, giving them an 8-5 lead.

This was not the last time Glidden was able to put some points on the board. Minutes later he managed to score again for WA, and even hit a three pointer to give his team a comfortable 15-5 lead.

The second quarter opened up with a layup from junior Connor Pandiscio, padding WA’s lead over Boston Latin. Moments later, Glidden came up with a big steal and converted it into two more points for the Ghosts. As a result, Boston Latin called a timeout with about 6 minutes to go in the half.

Following the timeout, the Ghosts continued to dominate their opponent, adding on to their lead. Boston Latin couldn’t convert much offense into points, as they scored their first points of the quarter just  minutes before halftime. They managed to put a few more points on the board before halftime.
