On Wednesday, March 13, the Girls High School Recreational Championship game was held at Westford Academy. The Yellow Warriors and the Orange Tigers were evenly matched and the score was close the entire game. In the last few minutes, junior Tianna Habosian of the Tigers made both of her foul shots to tie the score at 21-21. Seconds later, the Warriors scored a basket and were in the lead. Sophomore Amy Cavanagh of the Tigers scored an easy layup to tie the score yet again. Junior Lauren Steele of the Tigers scored both of her foul shots to bring the Tigers’ lead to 25 points, the Warriors’ at 23. Steele was yet again fouled and scored for her team. The game ended seconds later with a final score of Tigers 26, Warriors 23.
