As 2025 comes to an end, freshmen say goodbye to the only year in which they experienced both middle school and high school. The transition from eighth grade to ninth grade is unlike any other grade transition. Students must learn to navigate a new building, merge with an entirely different school, potentially gain a much heavier workload, and receive a newfound freedom of choosing their own classes. The Ghostwriter asked the current freshmen whether they liked middle school or high school more and why.
"I liked middle school more because it was less stressful," freshman Ryan Ashly said.
