Westford Academy Football suffered a 24-14 defeat during their season opener against Lowell on Friday, Sep. 12 at Trustees Field.
The Ghosts started off strong, but Lowell soon matched their intensity. The game was riddled with nail-biting moments and lead switching, but near the end of the face-off, Lowell managed to outplay the Ghosts and clinch the win. This defeat brings WA’s season record to 0-1. The team’s next game will start at 7:00 p.m. on Friday, Sep. 19, and it will be away against Billerica Memorial High School.
