Q: Hi!
A: Hi!
Q: Can you state your name and your grade?
A: My name is Olivia Strong, and I’m in 11th grade.
Q: Can you tell us something about you that most people wouldn’t know?
A: Something most people wouldn’t know about me is that I’ve been dancing for 14 years and I’m on a competitive dance team.
Q: What’s your favorite type of dance?
A My favorite would probably be contemporary.
Q: Where do you see yourself in 10 years?
A: In 10 years, I plan to be a nurse, so probably something along the lines of that.
Q: Do you plan to go to college for that?
A: Yeah, I do.
Q: Do you know which college you want to go to?
A: I’m thinking about going to URI [University of Rhode Island] for nursing and then I want a minor in criminology.
Q: What steered you towards criminology?
A: I really like the idea of figuring out how to solve crimes and stuff like that and I feel like it would be really fun.
Q: If you could go to one place in the world right now, where would you go?
A: Probably the Bahamas.
Q: Why?
A: I don’t know. I really like tropical places.
Q: Have you been there before?
A: No I haven’t.
Q: If you could have a meal with any person in the world who would it be?
A: Probably Zendaya.
Q: Have you seen a lot of Zendaya movies?
A: Yeah. Some of them, yeah.
Q: What’s your favorite?
A: I don’t know, Probably… I don’t know.
Q: If you could get any tattoo, what would it be?
A: Probably a butterfly.
Q: Does that have any meaning or do you just like butterflies?
A: Yes, but I just really like butterflies.
Q: Where would you put it?
A: Probably on the side of my ribs or on my wrist.
Q: If you had one word to describe yourself, what would it be?
A: I would say probably kind because I feel like if you’re kind to others they will be kind to you, and it’s better to be kind to people than to be mean because there’s no point in that.
Q: Do you have any hobbies other than dance?
A: Yeah, I’m president of Art Club, so I do that. And then me and my sister like to play volleyball.
Q: Do you consider yourself to be more of an early bird or a night owl?
A: Definitely night owl. I’ll stay up until like three in the morning sometimes, it’s pretty bad.
Q: Yeah, me too. When you were a kid what did you want to be when you grew up? Did you always want to be a nurse?
A: I don’t really know, I don’t think I’ve always wanted to be a nurse. I kind of just figured that out, like seventh and eighth grade, and have stuck with it since then. But when I was little, probably a mom would be the number one answer.
Q: What’s your ideal way that you like to spend your weekends?
A: Sleeping, 100%, and then hanging out with my friends.
Q: Are you watching any TV shows?
A: I’m watching ‘The Walking Dead’ and then I’m watching a true crime series.
Q: Are those like some of your favorites right now?
A: Yes and no, I also really like ‘Shameless’, I’ve been watching that for a while. But yeah, I do really enjoy them.
Q: And lastly, do you have any pets?
A: Yes, I have two dogs. One’s named Oakley and one’s named Cookie. Oakley is a pitbull mix and Cookie is a lab mix. Oakley is three years old and Cookie is seven.
