Apr 17, 2020
With the recent coronavirus cancellations and changes regarding school, spring sports, SATs, and pass-fail assignments, juniors, who are in a crucial part of their high school career, face many uncertainties regarding how this will affect the application process and preparedness for college. During this quarantine, The Ghostwriter had the chance to ask WA juniors how all of this has affected them.
Jaimie Gagne: "With college just around the corner I was relying on the short time I had left at WA to make an impact on my college application. Moving to pass-fail doesn’t show colleges I can work hard, it shows them I can do the bare minimum. With SATs being canceled it was also a big setback because now I have less time to improve my score from the time I take the test until when I have to apply for college."
