WA welcomes experienced engineer Robert Muller

Staff Writer

This year, Robert Muller is one of the new teachers at Westford Academy. He teaches Intro to engineering and Advanced Technology.

Mr. Muller’s classroom contains a lot of gadgets and hard drives, which are scattered on all his shelves.

He says, “I teach my classes on how to take apart computer parts and identify what each is and the function of it”.

Outside of school, Mr. Muller lives with his two daughters and his wife. One of his daughters is a junior in college and the other a junior in high school.

Before he was a teacher, Mr. Muller used to be a company engineer.

“I was working as an engineer at Private Industry Commercial”, he said.

In college, he had decided to major in electrical engineering for this.

On the first day of school, Mr. Muller thought the crowds that stalled the hallways of Westford Academy had so much energy. He was astonished that majority of the students were not depressed that school begun after summer vacation.

He says, “the enthusiasm felt a lot like electricity.”

Mr. Muller also gave two pieces of advice to all the students this year. He tells students to work hard, and have fun, and doing both will guarantee all students to have an outstanding year.

One of Mr. Muller’s favorite things to do outside of school is woodworking. He does this when he is not teaching in the school. He even has a woodworking shop in his basement.

Overall, Mr. Muller is a great person, and he welcomes anyone in the halls to give him a greeting.
