This piece is a part of a series exploring how new technology will be changing how teaching is approached at WA. For the other pieces, see How WA Does Technology.
While exploring the new depth that technology will soon be taking in class is important, it is also interesting to look at the new technology being used right now. Chemistry teacher Jeffery Bucchianeri uses PhET online simulations to teach especially abstract concepts to his CP1 Chemistry students. Showing the power of technology and collaboration in the modern era, Bucchianeri reached out to the developers behind the simulations over at the University of Colorado, Boulder and they built one on molecular polarity for him. Watch the video below to learn more about how the simulation is integrated into the classroom.
