On Thursday, January 2, 2020, the Ghostwriter had the opportunity to visit the New Hampshire Institute of Politics at the Saint Anslem College in Manchester, New Hampshire. At the college, democratic presidential candidate Cory Booker spoke with two moderators, the Executive Director of Stay Work Play NH, Will Stewart, and community liaison of the Manchester Health Department, Victoria Adewumi. The conversation mainly covered the platform and goals of Booker and his aspirations for love and unity in America.
Democratic presidential candidate Cory Booker: "My main passion is showing people we are not going to end hate with showing people more hate. The way we inspire more people to get out and participate is not [creating] more values to beat Donald Trump, but doubling-down on our values. I think what America is yearning for, right now, is healing and bringing people together, which is actually a great strategy. I want this to be the highest turnout election in American history. If we do that, we can win back the senate of democrats and beat Donald Trump, but more importantly, we will be able to govern from a place that brings more Americans together, regardless of party, to accomplish big things."
