Adele: taking music to the Other side
December 22, 2015
Sitting in the car the familiar voice I haven’t heard since her album 21, introduces herself “Hell0, its me..” I turn the volume up to hear Adele’s introduction back into the music world with her new album 25.
Adele’s new album 25, has caught many fans’ attention with her single “Hello.” The single is a calm song that has a jamming out spin to it.
The first song in the album draws listeners in just with a simple “hello.” I have found myself singing the song in the car driving to school, while I’m running or even humming it to myself when I hear it in public. Adele created a song that can be enjoyed by anyone anywhere, without adding intense words or sounds. It is a simple song that can relax, or even put you in a better mood.
The second song on the album, “Send my love” follows “Hello” with a catchy tune and lyrics, with a slower, more serious beginning, but it then breaks out in a chorus that satisfies listeners making them want more.
The album itself is mostly slow and calm compared to her first album that contained more upbeat music. All the songs included in 25 are around four minutes long, but they keep their momentum and are interesting throughout the entire piece.
Most of the songs are related to love or moving on, and it seems to resonate mostly with teenage girls and middle age women.
The sounds of 25 allowed me to relax when listening to the album and enjoy myself singing out loud with my friends. I have found enjoyment and ability to release stress and feel good after listening or singing to the album’s masterpieces.
Most of the hype revolves around her new single “Hello,” but 25 has taken over the music world because it portrays Adele’s thoughts and feelings through music. The words of the album are being sung from people’s mouths from one person to another, spreading the lyrics and tunes of songs from an emotionally powerful album.
The album reached the top charts in the U.S. within a week of its release. I strongly recommend the album to all that enjoy music and I feel this album could be enjoyed by anyone.
