On Friday, October tenth, Westford Academy’s Varsity Boys’ Soccer team won against Bedford with a shutout 1-0. The only goal was scored by WA five minutes into the first half.
After the initial goal, the Bedford Buccaneers took a defensive stance and prevented any more goals from being scored. Both teams had great defense which kept the game at a standstill.
It was difficult for WA to maintain their lead as they had to race all over the field to prevent Bedford from scoring.
The Grey Ghosts played exceptionally, especially Westford’s goalie Sam Brewer who saved every shot, not allowing a single goal all game from Bedford.
When the clocked ticked down on the final half, the score on the board had remained the same: 1-0.
