This summer, the Westford community saw Applebees go, and anticipated an iHop to be put in its place. They were surprised to see the British Beer Company, or BBC, standing where the highly anticipated breakfast place was.
At least until they walked inside.
The BBC gave a whole new twist to Westford dining with sleek leather booths, quotes by famous Brits such as Winston Churchill and William Shakespeare written in metallic gold on the restaurant walls, and the amazing dining.
Their large menu has everything from old British traditions, to American classics, and everything in between. Great appetizers such as Macho Nachos, BBQ ribs, and their Royal Pupu platter are the best way to start off your meal.
But make sure you save room for the main course. They serve classics such as Fish n Chips and Pot Roast, but also give an American twist to each dish. The restaurant also serves over fifteen different types of pizzas, with crazy combinations like Chicken Brocolli and Ziti, Pulled Pork, and their famous Nacho Pizza. They also introduce the Pasty Pie; a traditional British meal brought to this country in the early 1900’s for coal miners who needed a meal that was made to stay compact for their lunch. It’s a mix of meats and vegetables, baked compact inside of a pie crust, and served with sauce or gravy on the side.
BBC is not given its name for its food though. They have any type of beer you can imagine from America, Ireland, the UK, and all of Europe. They serve some of the world’s most premier beers, ales, lagers, stouts and pilsners, with a five page menu just for beer.
BBC is alive at night with local bands playing on the weekends. Some celebrities preform occasionally, such as Jersey Shore cast member DJ Pauly D. They also have parties on holidays. All ten BBC locations in New England are hosting a Halloween Bonanza on the 30th.
The BBC’s new look, style, and exquisite cuisine makes it one of the best restaurants around and a new Westford favorite.
