This week’s rankings:
1. Heat – Led by Jake Schladenhauffen and Nick Mariano, the Heat are 4-0 this season. They also have the best point differential on the league, scoring 231 points while only giving up 153. They enjoyed a blowout victory over the Warriors, and will try to continue to stay atop the power rankings.
2. Supersonics – In addition to star player Nick Mizzoni, the Sonics have great height with the Gillett brothers. They are also complimented well by shooters Zach Reid and Eashan Jani, making this team capable of scoring in a variety of ways.
3. Knicks – The Knicks boast great roster depth and team chemistry. They play with a natural flow on offense, led by Zach Miller and Drew Leblanc. They are tied with the Heat for the highest scoring total in the league with 231 cumulative points.
4. Jazz – The Jazz do not possess a dominant player, but have obtained a 3-1 record due to great chemistry, as well as solid defense from Glynn Johnson. Their lone loss came to the Supersonics in double overtime, showing that they are able to compete with the best.
5. Rockets – The Rockets have gotten off to a moderate 2-2 start, but are still considered to be an elite team who have been hampered by player absences. Behind Josh Sawyer and Matt McGorty, this team posses a solid roster. They have played lackluster defense so far allowing 210 cumulative points against them, but if that turns around, their high powered offense should help them climb above .500.
