Winter vacation is fast approaching, and so is some free time to be spent with family and friends. As you are preparing for Christmas parties and family dinners, here is a guide to one of my family’s favorite holiday treats, Peanut Butter Kiss cookies. My mom makes these cookies every year for Christmas and within minutes, the tray she brings to my grandmother’s house is completely empty!
Ingredients:
- 1 cup of butter
- 2 cups of brown sugar
- 2 eggs
- 1 1/2 cups of peanut butter
- 2 2/3 cups of flour
- 2 teaspoons of baking soda
- 1/2 teaspoon of salt
- 1 bag of Hershey’s kisses
- Cream the butter and sugar in a large bowl.
- Add the eggs and peanut butter into the bowl.
- Beat ingredients in the large bowl until smooth.
- In a separate bowl, combine flour, baking soda and salt.
- Add the above mix into to the large bowl.
- Mix ingredients in large bowl until well blended.
- Roll one tablespoon of the mix into a ball and place on a cookie sheet. Repeat until tray is full.
- Bake at 350° for 10 minutes, or until the edges brown.
- Remove from oven and place one Hershey Kiss in the middle of the cookie.
- Allow time for cookies to cool.
- Enjoy!
