Each year around the holidays, families enjoy creating holiday sweets including decorated sugar cookies and peppermint candies. Ever since I was young, my mom and I having been making these delicious holiday treats. One of my favorite seasonal snacks is Buttercrunch, a sweet dessert that combines the taste of caramel and delectable, rich dark chocolate.
Ingredients:
- 1 cup of butter
- 1 cup of sugar
- 1 tablespoon of white corn syrup
- 1 teaspoon of vanilla
- 1 cup of chocolate chips
Instructions:
1.First, soften butter in a large pot on the stove set to high temperature.
2.Add sugar, corn syrup and vanilla.
3.Stir ingredients often and continue to heat all 4 ingredients until melted. Continue to stir ingredients until they turn brown, constantly stirring to make sure they don’t burn.
4.Once brown, carefully pour the ingredients onto a large pan and spread with a spatula.
5.While the ingredients are still hot, pour on the chocolate chips.
6.Once the chocolate melts, spread it around with a spatula. Put the tray in a cold area and break into pieces once it hardens.
