Black Friday is undoubtedly one of the most chaotic days every holiday season. It marks the beginning of the hectic holiday rush between Thanksgiving and Christmas, and is a time when people of all ages rush to find the best deals on all of the gifts for their loved ones. Every year, the same horror stories of shoppers being crushed by crowds have stopped the presses, but by reading the following tricks, everyone should be able to avoid the horrors of black friday.
1. Shop Online!
Shopping online is the safest way to avoid all of the crowds and the rush of the malls. In fact, one of the best places to get deals is Amazon, and if you use the link through the Ghostwriter’s site, around ten percent of what you spend will be donated to us. It’s a great way to help out not only the Ghostwriter, but is an easy (and safe) way to get your Black Friday shopping done.
2. Wait for Cyber Monday!
This goes along with shopping online, but Cyber Monday is only three days after Black Friday, and is when most of the online deals are taking place. No matter how desperate your need for getting products is, it’s much safer to wait for three days and order online from the warmth and security of your own home.
3. Create a plan of attack!
A good way to avoid a lot of driving around looking for a parking spot would be to create a plan of attack! Figure out which stores have the deals you are looking for, and create a schedule for where you want to go to, what things you will need to buy, and around how long you will be in the store itself. Pay a visit to the store a couple of days beforehand, and find a quick route you can take. It will save you from running around clueless at the last minute.
4. Bring a friend/family member!
One of the classic strategies of Black Friday is to have a family member or friend drive you to the mall, drop you off, and then continue driving around the parking lot while you run inside and grab what you need quickly. This only works when you are grabbing one or two things from the store, and gives you a quick way to escape without having to find a parking spot.
5. Find sales early!
Look for coupons in papers and magazines ahead of time. If you have shopped at a store before, chances are you are receiving emails with deals, or coupons/flyers in the mail. If you can find out which store has the best deal ahead of time, and know exactly what you need to pay, it’ll make the trip much faster.
6. Camp out early!
If you are really desperate about Black Friday, you need a tent, and possibly a bottle or two of Five Hour Energy. Enough said.
7. Don’t eat too much!
Turkey and mashed potatoes contains tryptophan, which helps the body produce serotonin, which makes you sleep. By cutting down on the amount you eat on Thanksgiving, you will be able to wake up earlier, and that can help you beat the crowds! And don’t worry, there will definitely be some leftover.
Hopefully with these tips, you will be able to survive Black Friday. Always remember to drive safely, especially in parking lots, as it will help everyone else survive Black Friday too.
