Coconut pieces, cereal bits and crushed mint cookie crumbs are just some of the dozens of toppings at the new frozen yogurt establishment, Sweet Kiwi. The new store has only been open for a week, and already Westford Academy students seem to know the place inside and out.
Sophomore Logan Ahearn said that “I really like it” and “it’s even better because it’s good for you.”
Junior Kate McCluskey likes that “it’s not very expensive” in comparison to the other frozen yogurt places. She likes the environment inside as well, saying it’s nice.
Sweet Kiwi is not in competition with other frozen yogurt places in Westford, for it is the only one in the entire town. It is located in a central location in town, where it is easily accessible to everyone around. It is about two miles away from the high school, making it a great hangout for students after school.
Junior Kayla Flanagan says that her favorite flavor is tiramisu, and she loves the fruit toppings and the chocolate jimmies. Sophomore Emma Katz says that her favorite toppings are the mini peanut butter cups, chocolate covered pretzels, strawberries, and mango.
Flanagan also adds that it’s great that it’s open all year round, especially since Kimball’s closes after the summer ends. There are about sixteen to eighteen different kinds of flavors, including red velvet, strawberry and taro. The countless number of toppings is just the icing on the cake.
