Known for having the best martinis in Westford, and being an iconic spot for nights out, Stir Martini Bar and Kitchen has truly made its mark in the community. The restaurant has just recently relocated, and I had the opportunity to see the new highlights, and see what changed between the two locations.
In March, the Chilli’s restaurant in town shut down, and the space was transformed into a new location for Stir Martini Bar and Kitchen. Recently, my family and I went to eat dinner at the new location, which is now located in the same plaza as the Walgreens in Westford. Stir provides an Italian cuisine with some other American options. Previously located on Powers Road in Westford, the restaurant was much smaller and harder to seat everyone. The menu also didn’t have anything that I particularly liked and therefore, it was hard for me to find something suitable.
We enjoyed ourselves at the restaurant because of its new, modernized feel and varied menu options. The atmosphere had completely changed, and it gave an entirely new feeling as well as a more retro fashion. It was also much easier for making arrangements for seating people, since the more spacious area also made seating much more convenient. There was also a plethora of pictures on the wall, making the restaurant seem more inviting.
The first thing I observed was that the service was quick. The staff was extremely attentive to other people’s needs, and were helpful when patrons needed input on what to order. They would come and fill water when needed and also continue to be of assistance throughout the dinner. They were extremely polite and patient when customers requested certain additions to meals and the accommodations were well met. The environment was overall extremely welcoming and added a very warm touch while eating there.
The appetizers were also appealing, with the most notable one being the coconut shrimp. It was well-flavored with Thai chili and coconut flakes. The shrimp was arguably the best part of the meal because it had spice, but was also well-cooked and fried.
I then ordered the burger, which was the perfect quantity and was also cooked as requested. There were several comfort foods offered as well, including truffle fries, different varieties of flatbreads, and a Caesar salad. In addition, the desserts were also amazing and there were so many different items to choose from. The Chocolate Mousse Cake was not too heavy and melted in my mouth while eating. Additionally, the meals had a stylish touch to them, especially the appetizers. This added an aesthetic visual to the meal, and which compelled me to taste everything.
One aspect that could be improved is the fries, which were a little burnt and cut a little small, making it difficult to dip them and savor the taste. However, I think that Stir has several mouth-watering options, and is a place that brings a new twist in comparison to its former restaurant. Stir is also on the more expensive side, as the food was good, but not extraordinary. This can often be an issue for people when going to a new restaurant, but overall, the environment in the restaurant made a big difference on my dining experience.
I would recommend this restaurant to anyone who is looking for elegant and classy dining. Additionally, this restaurant would be a good fit for people who want a mix of different dishes while eating rather than focusing on one specific cuisine.
