Ricardelli physically leaves

By Aishwarya Vishwanath
Staff Writer

After 36 years of teaching, Bob Ricardelli will retire this June.

Ricardelli’s teaching career has been varied. For eight years, he taught industrial arts at the Abbot Middle School.

After that, he spent 10 years teaching high school industrial arts at WA. Then, he switched over to teaching physics, which he has been teaching the past 18 years now.

Of all the subjects in science, including biology, chemistry, astronomy, and earth science, physics interests Ricardelli the most.

According to him, physics is “hands-on, and describes the world.” That, he says, is why it interests him.

After retiring, Ricardelli plans to spend time on his hobbies, like fishing. He also may try to find a part-time job.

Looking back on his years here, Ricardelli says that his favorite aspect of Westford Academy is the students and staff.

“Work hard, do the right thing, and take care of friends,” Ricadelli offers as advice to this year’s graduating class.
