Q: What made you want to come to WA?
A: I am a graduate of WA and I’ve taught here before, and I know how much of a great school it is so I wanted to be back.
Q: How long have you been doing Instructional Technology?
A: This is a new position for me. Usually I’m a classroom teacher, technology mostly. So this is new since the beginning of the school year.
Q: Do you have a family?
A: Yes I do. I have a 10 and 13 year old and they’re both in Westford schools, Abbot and Stony Brook.
Q: Do you live in Westford?
A: I do.
Q: What or who inspired you to get into technology?
A: I would say Bill Cody, who used to be the technology coordinator here and used to be my department head back when I first graduated from college. He definitely inspired me to want to get more into the new stuff.
Q: Are you using a college degree to do your job?
A: Yes and no. I’m using the teaching skills I was taught because I’m an education major so sitting in front of a class, putting a lesson plan together, organizing my thoughts, stuff like that absolutely. But the technological side not so much.
Q: What degree did you get?
A: I am a Business Education graduate. So my bachelors was in education so I was certified to teach right out of college.
Q: What do you like most about WA?
A: I like the students here at WA, I like that it’s a familiar area. I know a lot of the faculty as well. It’s just a nice community; all the kids are nice and easy to work with.
