WA Baseball wins 7-6 at the last second

This Wednesday, Weston and WA Baseball played a game at Peter Arthur Diamond. Westford trailed behind at first but came back toward the end of the game to snatch a win 7-6.

The first inning was slow with some bases being filled but no scores. However, by the end of the next first few innings of the game, Weston scored, making the game 1-1 when the inning ended.

The second was slow but when the third inning started, Weston hit a grand slam, giving Weston a huge lead over WA,  5-0.

The fourth inning started and WA got the offense going with a ball belted far into center field, allowing WA to get a run and making the game 5-1. Weston later scored once again later in the game.

The fifth inning started with Weston scoring a run, this gave them even more of a lead over WA which caused the WA fans to get worried.

When the sixth started, WA scored with two guys on base bringing the game closer, 6-3. Later, WA scores two more runs which brought them even closer to tying the game.

The seventh started with no scoring from Weston. WA was now down by one and tried to get more men on base. With two bases full, and already two hits, WA hit the ball allowing one of the guys on base to score making it a tie game. The crowd was filled with anxiety, but WA managed to score one more run, making WA win the game by only one run.

The final score was 7-6.
