The Ghostwriter recently had the chance to eat at Groton House of Pizza, a pizza shop located in the Groton town center. Much like Westford House of Pizza, this shop offers anything from pizza to subs.

When we first walked in, we saw that there was a counter up front, a few sections of tables, and a large refrigerator where customers can pick out cold drinks.

After a few minutes of looking at the menu, we were ready to order. We ordered a small bacon pizza, an order of chicken tenders with fries, onion rings, and three refrigerated drinks. The paying system was rather unusual, as we were told that we could pay once it had been made.

We had been waiting about fifteen minutes, when all of our food came out at once. The chicken tenders, fries, and onion rings were all on one big platter, along with the pizza on its own tray.

First, we tried the chicken tenders. Overall, we were quite satisfied with them. The had great flavor and texture on both the inside and outside. However, we were pretty disappointed with the amount we were given. The order only came with about four pieces of chicken and therefore, it was difficult to split between three people.

We then tried the fries that came with the chicken. At first, we weren’t all that impressed, but we soon warmed up to them. Overall, we thought they were decent, but nothing to write home about.

Once we tried the fries, we sampled the small bacon pizza. For the most part, it was pretty good. The sauce was tasty and the crust was even better. Our only issue was that there was a bit too much cheese for our liking, but it did not ruin it for us. As for the size, a small pizza is perfect to split between two people, and if you’re really hungry, you may be able to eat it yourself.

Lastly, we tried the onion rings, which was the highlight of our meal. They had a perfect crunchy outside and they didn’t fall apart when we tried to eat them. We would definitely recommend ordering onion rings when you eat at Groton House.

All in all, we enjoyed our experience at Groton House of Pizza. Although, we didn’t really think there was anything special about it, Westford House of Pizza is more convenient. However, if you are ever in the area, Groton House is a good choice for you.
