Life After Tricks ‘r Treats

There are three great tragedies that come with being a teenager: a greater workload, acne, and an inability to trick or treat on Halloween.

The last point is one that you may be sure haunts many adolescents of all kinds. Whether it’s due to being too childish an activity to being discouraged by parents or peers, many teens just don’t or can’t participate in the gathering of sugary goodness.

“My parents’ just won’t let me”, said Mohak Jain, a freshman. “They said I’m too old”.

Luckily for we teens, there are plenty of other (responsible, mind you) activities ideal for occupying a spooky Halloween.

Witch’s Woods

Located on 79 Powers Road in Westford (Nashoba Valley Ski Area), Witch’s Woods is a popular “Halloween Screampark”. It’s known especially for its Haunted Hayride, which takes its guests on a spine chilling trip through the woods. Witch’s Woods is open Thursdays through Sundays in October; admission is $33 for access to all four attractions. Even people without tickets still have access to the Jack ‘o Lantern Jamboree and the Horrorwood Chamber of Chills.
